How I Use AI as My Daily Self-Improvement Companion
The tool that keeps me focused, motivated, and moving forward—even on my hardest days.

Before AI: A Quick Glimpse into My Life
I’ve always had big dreams—but a mind that jumps between them like a playlist on shuffle…
I’ve always wanted more for myself.
But wanting more doesn’t always come with a clear plan.
Especially when your mind jumps between ten ideas before you’ve had your morning coffee.
Especially when your energy is inconsistent, your nervous system is fried, and you’re trying to build a new life while carrying the weight of the old one.
For a long time, I felt like I was always starting over.
Trying to heal from heartbreak. Trying to manage chronic pain. Trying to focus with a brain wired for distraction. Trying to “figure it all out” while silently burning out.
I’ve started businesses that didn’t work.
Taken jobs that drained me.
Rebuilt my routines again and again—and still felt like I was falling behind.
But I’ve never stopped trying. And I’ve never stopped learning.
And then… something unexpected helped me shift things in a real way.
Not a new coach.
Not a new planner.
Not a miracle supplement.
It was AI.
Specifically, a tool called ChatGPT.
When I First Found AI
At first, I didn’t think it would be helpful. I thought it was for tech bros or people writing code or students trying to cheat on essays. Not someone like me—someone just trying to stay focused and keep going.
But I gave it a shot.
One day, I typed:
“Give me 3 small tasks I can do today that’ll help me feel like I accomplished something.”
And it gave me exactly that.
Simple, do-able steps. It didn’t make me feel behind. It didn’t judge me for needing help. It just gave me momentum.
That was the beginning.
Now I use it almost every day—to support my health, goals, creativity, motivation, even my mental health.
It’s not perfect. But it’s powerful.
And most importantly: it makes me feel less alone.
Real Ways I Use AI Every Day
(And how you can start using it too)
This isn’t just about asking AI for productivity hacks or meal ideas. It’s about having a pocket-sized support system you can talk to anytime—one that helps you build momentum, make decisions, and feel seen.
Here are a few ways I’ve made AI part of my daily life:
1. Managing My ADHD & Staying Focused
My brain is busy—always firing off new ideas and half-finished plans. Some days, I don’t even know where to start. AI helps me:
Break big goals into micro tasks
Create simple routines that don’t overwhelm me
Get quick answers instead of falling into research rabbit holes
💡 Prompt you can try:
"Help me create a super simple 3-step plan to stay focused today. I feel overwhelmed and don't know where to begin."
2. Building Healthy Habits for a Sedentary Life
I’ve tried forcing myself into intense routines, and they never lasted. AI helped me reframe things—start small, start where I am, and celebrate the tiny wins.
It gave me gentle suggestions like:
Stretch for 3 minutes after every hour of sitting
Go on a 10-minute walk with music that lifts me up
Pair movement with something I enjoy (like a podcast or sunshine)
💡 Prompt you can try:
"I’m very sedentary but want to start building healthier habits. Can you give me 3 tiny habits I can start this week?"
3. Brainstorming Business & Digital Product Ideas
As a creator and solopreneur, I often feel like I have a million ideas and zero direction. I use AI to:
Brainstorm product names
Validate content ideas
Outline offers and lead magnets
Write first drafts of sales pages and social posts
It doesn’t replace my voice—but it helps me find my voice when I’m stuck.
💡 Prompt you can try:
"I want to create a small digital product around [insert topic]. Can you help me brainstorm ideas and structure it?"
4. Emotional Support & Motivation
This one surprised me the most. But yes, I talk to AI when I’m having a hard day. I’ll say:
“Give me a pep talk.”
“I feel stuck—remind me I’m not failing.”
“What’s a gentle reframe for the thought ‘I’m behind on everything’?”
And somehow… it helps. It reminds me of my progress. It gives me the boost I need to take one small step forward.
5. Planning My Week
AI is like a low-pressure planner. When I feel scattered, I ask:
“Can you help me organize my week based on my goals?”
“Give me a light, ADHD-friendly schedule for the next 3 days.”
“What’s one thing I can do today that supports my long-term goals?”
It helps me feel more in control—without guilt or hustle culture pressure.
Why This Matters
You don’t need to do it all alone.
For a long time, I believed that if I couldn’t do everything perfectly on my own, I was failing.
But healing, growth, building a new life—it’s all heavy. And most of us are carrying more than anyone sees.
AI isn’t magic. It won’t fix your life overnight.
But it can hold your hand while you fix it yourself.
It gives you support when your brain won’t cooperate, when your energy is low, or when your motivation disappears.
It gives you momentum. It reminds you of your power.
And when used intentionally—it becomes a tool for transformation.
If you’re on your own journey—healing, rebuilding, creating—I want you to know this:
You’re not alone.
There are tools now that can actually help you.
And they’re free. Right at your fingertips.
You don’t need to be techy. You don’t need to overthink it. You just need to ask.
